eBay Magic: Reuse-Recycle-Reduce

Good ways to deal with old boat parts are eBay, Craigslist and Nauti Nells. Consignment stores are kind of fun -- drop it off and hope. eBay is a little more fun if there's a bidding war. Craigslist, however, is the most fun. Why?

Clandestine Meetings.

The fuel filter eBay sale didn't have a bidding war. But it did have a clandestine meeting -- a rare thing for eBay. No UPS shipping. Instead it was Burger King parking lot. 10:00. Bring the filters. Gray GMC Suburban. Come alone.

They guy does biodiesel automotive work and needed filters and filter assemblies. Pretty cool.

It was very important to us to know that the old filter assemblies and filters were going someplace to be used, rather than trashed. It was also nice to get a few (very few) dollars for these things. But it was much nicer to know that they'd find a home outside a landfill.
