Interesting. Leaving a note here for future me to look at in two years.

Right now, we're hoping to spend maybe a month in Florida, pottering about.

Maybe we'll go down to the keys -- Alligator River -- and back. We've been down through Fort Myers. We've looked at the entrance to Marco, and waved off because the channel is so hard to find. (It was south of the buoys prior to the last hurricane.)

Or maybe we'll go north. There's a long stretch from the last good ICW stop (Palm Harbor?) to the next inlet (Destin? Pensacola?) We don't quite know what to expect through there, but we think it's shallow and exposed to wind from any direction except the NE. And. We'd have to anchor so far off-shore that it would be bad in all directions.
