Team Red Cruising

Reedville Raftup

We hung out in Reedville with Indefatigable.

First it rained. Then it cleared.

Then we fired up the grill and had tuna steaks, corn on the cob and a multi-bean salad. Plenty of good red wine (and beer.)

We didn't actually raft up. We just dinghied back and forth.

On Sunday, the breeze was 10-15 from the SW, so we could sail much of the way back to Deltaville. We left at noon, cutting the time pretty close. The NOAA weather advisories made us fire up Mr. Lehman and motor more directly so we could avoid the possibility of running into a storm.

Indefatigable decided to avoid the weather and went to Maverick's dock in the Coan river.

Yes, we bashed to weather under pretty much every sail we owned.

And no, gentlemen never sail to weather.

We did learn that the mizzen is approximately useless when close hauled.
