It's been about 54 days since Hurrican Ian. We have a mechanic, a canvas company, and a carpenter working on things. While Red Ranger is getting fixed, what have we been doing?
We've been seeing our kids (and grandkid) on the west coast.
And -- of course -- seeing the west coast.
Here's the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve.
We like to stay down on the coast in Capternteria. Here's Ojai California, in the mountains not far from the beach.
Here's Campus Point State Marina Conservation Area. This is near Santa Barbara.
Here we are Santa Cruz, one of the Channel Islands. This is near Santa Barbara.
We went to the top of Mission Peak. This involved a secret access method that the local paragliding folks have. We drove almost to the top with a paraglider, then drove back down to pick them up from the landing zone.
The Pinnacles. Important. Go in the East entrance. Not the West entrance. (We went in the West entrance. Pretty. But. Harder to see any condors.)
Elkhorn Slough, up near Monterey. This is part of the Hummingbird Island Art Installation. It took some searching to figure out what this was.
Turkeys in Muir Woods National Monument.
Stay tuned for Yosemite. And, perhaps, some more details of paragliding.
