The Next Plan

What we think we're going to be doing...

  1. Shift to a Ft. Myers Beach Mooring. Scheduled: May 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, EDT.

  2. Check the Weather for good N-bound sailing day between the 10th and the 14th. We'd like to do a pleasant day sail.

  3. The Last day to move to SE Boca Grande. Scheduled: May 14, 2022 at 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, EDT. This will be a day sail up the coast. It's our final short hop. We have a lot of flexibility.

  4. Anchor in Myakka River. Scheduled: May 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, EDT. This is about a 3 hour motor up the river. Or maybe another day sail if the wind is fair.

  5. Arrive at Safe Cove dock. This is about a 3 hour motor through the canals. There are very detailed instructions for avoiding problem areas and operating the lock. Scheduled: May 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, EDT. See South Gulf Cove Boat Lock Operating Instructions (http://www.charlottecountyfl.gov). Also see http://charlotteharborboatstorage.com/map-directions for detailed directions to a neighboring yard.

  6. Haul out. Scheduled: May 17, 2022 at 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, EDT.

We're not done, of course.

We still have to clean the boat, and prep for hurricane season. That's a fairly long list spread over something like five days.

Then.

We have to go found our truck. Seeker is up in Charleston.

Finally.

We have to stifle our weeping.
